About Nekoda

My family knew from a very young age that I would one day be working in the arts. What they didn’t know was that Media would be the art that I chose.

Being creative has always been something I’m passionate about. I especially believe that anyone and everyone can be creative and that creativity looks different for each individual. This mindset is what I bring to all of my projects and shoots.

I started dabbling in photography in Middle School and by the time I graduated High School I knew I wanted to be a photographer. Or so I thought. I attended Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, MI in 2015; declaring my major in Photography and minor in Video Production. That quickly changed after taking my first Graphic Design course. I would then go on to switch my major to Digital Media, graduating in 2019 with my Bachelors.

My Style

Describing my style of editing has been such a struggle over the years. I personally, would say my editing leans more toward Dark & Moody. However, I know that each client, event and situation calls for a break from the norm. As you scroll my gallery you will see different styles from Bright & Airy to Whimsical to Bold to Stylized.

No matter what your style is or what you are wanting to capture, I am always willing to work within your vision. If art has taught me anything it’s that rules are meant to be broken and that sometimes you need to be willing to try something different!
